Discovering Château Clarisse
The history of the castle
In 2010, Olivia and Didier Le Calvez signed their own wine in one of the most famous regions of the Bordeaux area, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO: Saint-Emilion.
Their passion for wine comes from their sweet childhood memories of family holidays.
After several years of research, it was in 2007 that Olivia and Didier's dream took shape with the purchase of an authentic Girondine stone property nestled in the green and gently curving landscape of the right bank.
This old property has magnificent cellars and is surrounded by a very pretty vineyard perched high on the plateau of Puisseguin, one of the four "satellite" villages of Saint-Emilion.
Thus was born Château Clarisse, the name of this cuvée comes from the first name of their daughter who was one year old when the first bottle was born in 2010.
A lovely family story!
The terroir
The Château Clarisse property now covers 21 hectares. The vineyard is composed of 70% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc and 3% Carménère, Petit Verdot and Malbec. What a wealth of riches!
Biodiversity
Since 2010, the Château has been involved in integrated viticulture that is more respectful of the environment. In 2016, it developed a process of conversion to organic farming. It obtained Ecocert BIO certification in 2019.
In the same year, it integrated beehives on the estate to promote biodiversity.

Château Clarisse AOP Puisseguin Saint Emilion
Purple in colour, the attack in the mouth is round and animated by a good freshness with supple but powerful tannins and beautiful aromas of red and black fruits.
This red wine is a perfect accompaniment to cheeses, cold meats, smoked meats, meat in sauce or marinated.
