Benoist Gérard, after his career as a chef, discovered a second passion: wine. His small estate, located near Vaison la Romaine, is run according to the precepts of biodynamics. Even though Benoist no longer has his own restaurant, he continues to cook regularly for TV shows or for friends.

In 2008, he and his wife bought a house in Provence with a plot of vines. In 2011, he takes part in a harvest day at a great Rasteau winegrower's house. That's when the trigger was given and his new passion was born. In 2012, Benoist took over the management of his vineyard and became a winemaker. For 3 years, he will be accompanied by his mentor from Rasteau. In 2013, MINOIST was born. MI was born for Mimie (his wife) and NOIST for Benoist.

Today, the estate is made up of 3 completely different plots of land. The red MINOIST 2015 comes from the plot "Les Naudières". This plot faces due north, is sloping and has a clayey limestone soil. A vein of water runs through the centre of the vineyard and hydrates the vines, especially in periods of drought. This parcel is planted with Grenache Noir Grenache which is about 30 years old.

The harvest is manual. The grapes are transported in small crates containing 18kg of bunches. Alcoholic fermentation, carried out in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats, is carried out in whole bunches. The press dates back to 1850 and allows slow and gentle extractions to be carried out. This, among other things, is what makes MINOIST wines so atypical. They are harmonious, sincere and sensual wines.

This harmonious wine with a ruby colour supported by purple reflections, expresses a typical and complex nose. Its aromas of black and red fruits, pine forest and spices will offer you a liquorice finish.
